Job Description: Position Overview
Ezell-Harding Christian School is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered educator to teach 6th Grade ELA and History for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will foster a love for learning, promote academic excellence, and integrate faith into the classroom experience. This position requires a strong commitment to both student success and Christian education.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Instruction: Teach Math and Science aligned with Tennessee academic standards and Ezell-Harding’s Christian mission.
Biblical Integration: Incorporate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview throughout instructional content and classroom discussions.
Differentiation: Meet the diverse academic needs of students through small groups, hands-on activities, technology, and targeted interventions.
Assessment: Design and administer formative and summative assessments; use data to inform instruction and track progress.
Classroom Environment: Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom that supports both academic growth and spiritual development.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and administration to support student learning and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Parent Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with parents regarding academic performance, behavior, and spiritual growth.
Professional Development: Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and spiritual development opportunities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (required) in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure: Valid Tennessee teaching license or the ability to obtain one; or willingness to pursue is a plus.
Experience: Prior classroom experience (especially in upper elementary or middle grades) preferred.
Faith Commitment: Must be a committed Christian, active in a local church, and supportive of the mission and beliefs of Ezell-Harding Christian School.
