Job Description: Mars Hill Bible School is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Basketball Coach for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is designed for a Christ-centered leader who is committed to developing student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically.

The Head Basketball Coach will lead all aspects of the basketball program while cultivating a culture of excellence, discipline, and Christ-like character. This individual will work closely with student-athletes, families, faculty, and administration to support the mission of Mars Hill Bible School.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (education or related field preferred)
High school basketball coaching experience or equivalent
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of player development, game strategy, and program building
Teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification) preferred
Faithful, active member of a Church of Christ

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the MHBS basketball program, fostering a culture of excellence, unity, and purpose
Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and seasonal training programs
Mentor and supervise assistant coaches who reflect the school’s mission and standards
Build strong relationships with students, families, faculty, and the broader MHBS community
Ensure compliance with athletic regulations and school policies
Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, equipment, facilities, and program development
Represent Mars Hill Bible School with professionalism and integrity at all athletic events
Monitor student-athlete academic progress and support eligibility requirements
Communicate clearly and consistently with parents and guardians

Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding schedules, responsibilities, and program needs
Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions on and off campus

Demonstrate empathy, accountability, and consistency in coaching and leadership
Promote Christ-honoring sportsmanship, humility, perseverance, and respect
Be willing to mentor assistant coaches
