Job Description: Mars Hill Bible School is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time faculty role is designed for an individual who is passionate about Christian education and committed to supporting students in their academic growth, spiritual development, and personal responsibility.
The 5th Grade Teacher will provide instruction in core subject areas while creating a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment. This individual will work closely with students, parents, and faculty to support both academic success and spiritual formation during this important transitional year.
Qualifications:
Valid Alabama teaching certificate (or path to obtaining certification) required
Demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in elementary education preferred
Ability to teach multiple subject areas effectively
Faithful, active member of a Church of Christ
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in core academic subjects for 5th grade students
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
Maintain a structured, student-centered classroom environment conducive to learning
Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents
Encourage student engagement, responsibility, and academic growth
Integrate Biblical principles into daily instruction and classroom culture

Arrive prepared and on time; fulfill all assigned responsibilities
Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding attendance and duties
Prepare appropriate plans and materials in the event of absence
Dress professionally and represent the school with excellence
Steward school resources responsibly
Contribute positively to the school culture through collaboration and leadership
Build relationships with students and families grounded in trust and respect
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and flexibility in working with students
Create an environment that values each student’s dignity and growth
Engage students actively in the learning process
Communicate consistently with parents to support student development
Be willing to mentor and support fellow faculty members
